OMCs have been directed that blocking of refills of Non Cash Transfer Compliant customers at local level by LPG distributors is not permitted and complaints in this regard should be immediately taken up and resolved along with necessary action against the erring distributor as deemed fit.

Requirement of Aadhaar Card for LPG Connection
The Minister of State (I/C) for Petroleum & Natural Gas Shri Dharmendra Pradhan informed the Rajya Sabha in a written reply today that Aadhaar card is not mandatory for availing or continuance of LPG refill or LPG connection. OMCs have been directed that blocking of refills of Non Cash Transfer Compliant customers at local level by LPG distributors is not permitted and complaints in this regard should be immediately taken up and resolved along with necessary action against the erring distributor as deemed fit.
